Our Story

My journey with baking and cooking began in my homeland, Iran, where I was born and raised. Growing up, I was fortunate to learn from some of the most talented and renowned bakers and cooks in our community. This exposure sparked a deep passion in me for creating food that not only satisfies the palate but also carries a story, a tradition, and a sense of home.

Cooking and baking were always central to our family life. My father, an agricultural engineer, had a profound respect for natural, organic, and wholesome ingredients. He ensured that everything entering our home was free from harmful pesticides and full of life. Thanks to him, I grew up appreciating the importance of clean, natural food and a healthy lifestyle.

When I moved to the United States 20 years ago, I began a new chapter. I got married, started a family, and pursued a degree in Health Administration. While I enjoyed working in the healthcare field, my heart longed for the creativity and comfort of baking. I realized that baking was not just a hobby for me—it was a way to connect with my roots and share the nostalgic flavors and memories of my childhood with others.

This realization led to the birth of DarBar Bakery. The name “DarBar” holds a special place in my heart as it comes from the names of my daughters, Darya and Baran. At DarBar Bakery, we craft each treat with love, care, and the finest organic ingredients, staying true to the values I grew up with. Every bite tells a story—of family, tradition, and the rich culinary heritage of Iran.
